The purpose of this study was to search for the optrA gene among linezolid-resistant isolates of enterococci obtained from patients attended in a Spanish hospital(2016). Six out of 1640 enterococci had linezolid MIC = 4 mg/L. of them, five E.faecalis from five unrelated patients harboured the optrA gene. Analysis of Whole genome sequencing revealed the existence of two different genotypes associated to previously described plasmids.
