Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners in Slovenia 2006-2021

In 2021, the number of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners in Slovenia did not change in comparison to the previous year. The number of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners remained at 28 scanners. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses magnetic/electromagnetic fields combined with an induced resonance effect of hydrogen atoms. The result is a visualization of internal organs and body structures. MRI does not use x-rays or ionizing radiation which distinguishes it from CT and PET scans.
