LiDAR and anemometer deployment in Satellite Beach, FL, April - June 2022

LiDAR and anemometer data collection period from 27 April - 10 June 2022 at a residential test site in Satellite Beach, Florida (Latitude 28.175748°, Longitude -80.593326°). An FIT WSNS anemometer (RM Young model 01503V) was mounted on a mast (5.8 m AGL) along the east roof gable, data were recorded at 1 Hz. Additionally the WSNS barometric pressure sensor (Young Gill Pressure Port model 61002) was placed in front of the house (~1 m AGL) and recorded data at 10 Hz. The FIT LiDAR wind profiler (ZephIR 300) was placed in a secured residential backyard ~ 50 m across the street, sampling at 11 heights between 11 m and 120 m AGL (measurement levels, m AGL: 11, 15, 25, 30, 39, 50, 60, 70, 85, 100, 120). A full volume scan is completed approximately every 20 seconds.

Additional meteorological data (ambient air temperature, relative humidity, and barometric pressure) were collected from an independent Airmar meteorological station on top of the LiDAR at 1 m AGL.
