This dataset presents the number of hours worked per year over a period of about 150 years in 71 selected countries. The data are presented for the period 1870–2017.
Note: Before 1950, data are from full-time non-farm production workers only. From 1950, estimates cover the total number of hours worked in the selected countries, measured primarily from national accounts data.
