Genomic history of human monkeypox in the Central African Republic between 2001 and 2018

The goal of this study was to understand the phylogenetic relationships between 10 strains isolated during the epidemics in Central African Republic between 2001 and 2018 with other African strains, and to estimate the times of divergence in order to compare the evolutionary dynamics between central and western African MPXV lineages.
