Targeted metagenomic sequencing of nasopharyngeal swabs from participants with respiratory syncytial virus infection in the REspiratory Syncytial virus Consortium in EUrope (RESCEU) project.

Strand-specific libraries with target enrichment using a predesigned probe set were constructed from nasopharyngeal swabs collected in the clinical studies of the REspiratory Syncytial virus Consortium in EUrope (RESCEU) project, which is a European multicentre study investigating the epidemiological, virological, and immunological features of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection. All sequenced samples were collected from participants with acute RSV infection.
