Earthquake stress-drop catalog and finite-element models of force balance for the Japanese forearc lithosphere
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the catalog of events with a stress-drop estimate and ABAQUS output databases of 2D finite-element models of force-balance presented in Bocchini et al. (submitted). The catalog of stress drop events spans from 11 March 2011 to 31 December 2021. The repository includes both the initial catalog and the refined catalog after implementing quality control criteria (see Bocchini et al., submitted) The initial catalog consists of 18,016 events, including: 510 estimates for target events obtained from spectral-ratio fitting, 156 estimates for the empirican Green function (eGf) events obtained from spectral-ratio fitting, 9,897 estimates obtained from single-spectrum fitting with attenuation correction, and 7,453 estimates obtained from single spectrum-fitting without attenuation correction. The refined catalog, used in Bocchini et al., (submitted), consists of 10,469 events, including: 510 estimates for target events obtained from spectral-ratio fitting, 156 estimates for the empirican Green function (eGf) events obtained from spectral-ratio fitting, 7,193 estimates obtained from single-spectrum fitting with attenuation correction, and 2,610 estimates obtained from single spectrum-fitting without attenuation correction. The 2D finite-element models determine the absolute stress in the Japanese forearc lithosphere along the Iwaki and Sendai transects. The models compute the stress in the forearc after the Mw 9.0 11 March 2011 Tohoku-Oki earthquake and account for viscoelastic stress relaxation in the first postseismic year. We report the deviatoric stresses and information on time steps.
