Fenton and Anaerobic Digestion Experiments Using Reused or Scrap Zero-Valent Iron (ZVI) on Hospital and Food Waste Effluents

This dataset supports Deliverable 5.1 and Deliverable 5.2 of the Horizon Europe project CARING NATURE (Grant Agreement No. 101137340). These deliverables focus on evaluating innovative, sustainable methods for hospital and food waste treatment using reused or scrap zero-valent iron (ZVI). Specifically, the data includes results from Fenton oxidation experiments targeting hospital wastewater, anaerobic efflunets and anaerobic digestion tests of food waste, both with and without ZVI supplementation. The findings contribute to the project's objective of reducing the environmental footprint of healthcare facilities by promoting circular and low-cost treatment strategies based on waste valorization and integrated oxidation–digestion processes.
