RNA-seq data from human Caco-2 cells co-incubated with Giardia intestinalis WB cyst cells

In this study we compare at the transcriptomic level, how human gene expresion changes over time when Caco-2 cells co-incubated with Giardia cysts. Giardia trophozoites were grown in TYI-S33 until 80% confluency after that encystation was induced following the Uppsala encystation protocol reported by Einarsson et al. 2016. 2. Giardia cells were left to complete encystation for 32 hours and then collected and wash 3X in cold PBS and resuspended in sterile dH20 and left there for 3 days, on the third day cyst were collected and resuspended in DMEM (HI-FBS) and incubated with previously grown and differenatiated Caco2 cells for 1.5, 3 and 4.5 h. Prior interaction Caco-2 cells were collected.
