We are going to explore reactions of fcc–CoCrFeNiMn high-entropy alloy (co-called Cantor alloy) with hydrogen under high-pressure and especially high-temperature to access high-entropy hydrides. According to our previous laser heating LVP experiments, Cantor alloy does not form hydride at room temperature under compression with hydrogen. Further heating results in the formation fcc–CoCrFeNiMnH high-entropy hydride. In situ data under moderate temperatures will allow us to build complete P–T–x phase diagrams and find conditions to transform high-entropy alloys into high-entropy hydrides.
