Regulatory Formal Wetland Determination

The State of Florida and its political subdivisions delineates wetland boundaries under the provisions of ch. 62-340, F.A.C., as ratified by the Florida Legislature in sections 373.421 and .4211, F.S. In cooperation with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) assumed delegation of Formal Wetland Determination in 1991 within the District. Formal Wetland Surveys are conducted by SJRWMD in accordance with ch. 62-340, F.A.C. These surveys are mapped and maintained by Surveying staff at the St. Johns River Water Management District. On August 7, 2012, this feature class and the other feature classes in the dataset were copied from separate versions owned by SURVLIB, so that stewardship of the dataset could be assumed by Regulatory Support staff. This PDSLIB-owned version is now the active dataset.
