The 1:1,000,000 Antarctic Airport Distribution Dataset includes vector spatial data and associated attribute data for airports (Antarctic_Airport) and airport runways (Antarctic_Airport_runways) within the Antarctic region. The associated attribute data covers: airport name (Name), airport country name (CNTRY_NAME), airport country abbreviation (CNTRY_CODE), latitude (LATITUDE), and longitude (LONGITUDE).
This dataset is derived from the 1:1,000,000 ADC_WorldMap global dataset. The data has been topologically processed, and the ingested geospatial digital data is comprehensive, up-to-date and seamless.
The coordinate system of the world map uses latitude and longitude with the WGS84 datum, while the Antarctic regional dataset adopts the dedicated South Pole Stereographic projection parameters (South_Pole_Stereographic).
