Handschriftenportal (HSP)

The HSP brings together references to medieval and modern book manuscripts in German collections. It includes fully preserved manuscripts as well as fragments and other remains, referenced with basic data and their respective signatures. In addition, the manuscript portal provides links to high-resolution digital copies held by the institutions responsible for preserving the manuscripts, as well as scholarly descriptions of the individual manuscripts, where available. IIIF-compliant digital copies can also be loaded directly into an integrated working environment. The HSP currently provides records for over 150,000 manuscripts.
