WGS of Indian strains of Anopheles stephensi

We report the genome assembly of a type-form of An. stephensi derived from an overhead water tank in Annanagar, Chennai, India, (IndCh) which was reared in the laboratory since 2016, showing homozygous 2Rb locus, for which the raw PacBio and Illumina reads are submitted. Along with it, a total of 92 mosquito samples which includes 4 lab strains TI (n=15), TII (n=15), TIII (n=16), TIV (n=16) and 3 wild type strains from different geographical regions of India (Bengaluru (n=10), Mangaluru (n=10)) were used for the present study.
