Essential role of macrophages in contact hypersensitivity-induced hair regeneration [DPCP vs control]

This work demonstrates that contact hypersensitivity exerts a direct stimulatory effect on hair follicles to fasten anagen entry. The stimulatory effect on hair growth is mediated by macrophages. Overall design: For our analysis on the differences in gene expression under DPCP treatment, we utilized whole skin samples from day 2. We conducted a comparative gene expression profiling using RNA-seq analysis for DPCP and control samples
