PCO_Clinical_Material_Dataset-ZJU

his dataset comprises longitudinal, real-world clinical records from 16,970 patients (22,709 eyes) who underwent cataract surgery at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine between January 2019 and December 2022, with follow-up extending to May 2025. Uniquely integrating standard demographic and systemic comorbidity profiles with detailed physicochemical specifications of implanted intraocular lenses (IOLs), the dataset features granular annotations of microscopic chemical monomer compositions (e.g., HEMA, EA, MMA) derived from manufacturer specifications. All data were strictly anonymized and validated against epidemiological trends to support research into posterior capsule opacification (PCO) risk factors, biomaterial biocompatibility, and the development of predictive machine learning models.
