Main goals of the publication
The corresponding work aims to quantify peak flow event durations at an hourly time scale and their impact on high-frequency river sampling requirements using sampling ratios. The analysis is performed over the Mississippi basin using hourly USGS gages over 2010-2022.
The findings derived from these output files have direct implications for future satellite missions concerned with capturing high-frequency dynamics in rivers, including flood events.
