The Isala project was established in 2020 in Flanders, Belgium to study the ecology and determinants of the vaginal microbiome. As part of the project, bacterial strains were isolated from the vagina and other body sites of the participants. Remark: some of the Isala genomes were uploaded under bioproject PRJEB75646.
