The HAL 9000 Speech Dataset contains audio recordings of dialogues from the AI character HAL 9000 in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. The dataset includes most but not all of the HAL 9000 audio, and it is not cleaned, thus background noise and variations in his voice are present. The dataset can be formatted into the LJSpeech structure to ensure compatibility with most text-to-speech (TTS) models. It has been used to train a HAL 9000 text-to-speech model based on Piper.
