Data supporting the publication: Youth visiting the emergency department after a suicide attempt, suicidal ideation or non-suicidal self-injury - trends, repeat visits and costs

This dataset captures youth ≤27 years visiting a Dutch inner-city ED (Haaglanden Medical Center) between 2016-2023 for a suicide attempts, suicidal ideation or self-harm incident. Definitions for these categories were taken from 113 (suicide prevention organization), refined for practical use based on ED literature and case discussions. Hospital records were reviewed manually to determine if the patient met the definitions, see [link to journal paper].
