Long term land use influences on soil and rhizosphere microbial communities dynamics in the Amazon region

In this sense, this study aimed to evaluate the long-term land-use effects over Bacteria and Archaea communities in soybean rhizosphere and bulk soil in the Amazon region. For this, mesocosms experiments were carried out with Amazon soils with a history of 2-, 8-, and 20-years of agriculture use, and soybean plants were grown. First, total DNA from bulk soil and rhizosphere were extracted, and soil chemical characteristics were performed. Then, we assessed the bacterial and archaeal communities based on the 16S rRNA sequencing and Real-time PCR. It was evaluated their diversity, structure, abundance, composition, and interactions.
