One sample from Feature 24 at Site 24CA289 in western Montana was sampled
for macrofloral remains. Feature 24 is a privy depression at the Morony Dam
construction camp. The privy is in the part of the camp known as Ragtown, where
at least fifteen construction workers and their families lived during dam
construction (Mitzi Rossillon, personal communication, August 5, 1992).
Macrofloral analysis of the privy fill will provide direct information concerning
diet of the construction workers and their families.
