Influenza H1N1 2009 California against Homo sapiens hg38 - Blast analysis

<strong>Introduction</strong> The study was performed to identify the hits of influenza virus genome against human genome hg38. In this analysis we reported the hits of Influenza H1N1 2009 California on Homo sapiens hg38 using blatsn. <strong>Methods</strong><br> <strong>Influenza H1N1 2009 California genome</strong> The genome sequence of Influenza H1N1 2009 California (2009 california) were downloaded from NCBI (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/data-hub/taxonomy/641809/). <strong>Blast analysis</strong> The Influenza H1N1 2009 California genome sequences were compared against of Homo sapiens hg38 downloaded from NCBI (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/assembly/GCF_000001405.26/) with blastn tools (2.13.0+) on a linux server, respectively. <strong>Results retrieving and sorting</strong> The hits/alignments on genome of Homo sapiens hg38 reported by the blast analysis were retrieved with customized python scripts. The regions of hits were annotated with gene information of both Influenza H1N1 2009 California and Homo sapiens hg38. 2 <strong>Results</strong> There are 262 hits reported by blast analysis between influenza H1N1 2009 California and Homo sapiens hg38 sequences.
