Replication Data for: Short-form video and public recognition of non-designated heritage: a pre-post study of Jeju folk religious sites

This dataset contains pre- and post-intervention survey responses from 1,042 adult participants (Jeju Island residents: n = 525; non-residents from mainland South Korea: n = 517) collected as part of a within-subject experimental study examining the effects of a short-form educational video on public awareness and evaluative perceptions of non-designated cultural heritage in Jeju Island, South Korea. The dataset includes nine heritage-related indicators assessed at two time points (pre- and post-intervention), spanning three conceptual domains: heritage category recognition (T1–T4), evaluative perceptions of heritage value (T5–T6), and civic interest and behavioural intention (T7–T9). All items were administered on a seven-point Likert scale. The Resident variable indicates group membership (1 = Jeju Island resident; 2 = non-resident visitor). Data were collected via an online survey panel service between 5 August and 19 August 2025, following approval by the Institutional Review Board of Jeju National University (IRB No. JJNU-IRB-2025-034-001).
