A tree species determines a soil type and selects its microbial community in a forest with acid bedrock

The purpose of this study was to examine soils in two contrasting forests located in the Jizera Mountains, Czech Republic, an area affected by both natural and anthropogenic acidification. The aim was to connect the already known effect of spruce or beech as well as microbial community structure with soil developing processes.
