Supporting Tables: Species Habitat Models Used in the Map of Biodiversity Importance

This dataset provides summary tables describing (a) environmental predictor data used to develop habitat models for Natureserve’s Map of Biodiversity Importance (MoBI) and (b) the type of habitat models used to map likely habitat for each of the 2,216 imperiled plant and animal species included in the project. <br>Additional details on model development for each species is here: https://figshare.com/articles/journal_contribution/Metadata_Files_for_Species_Habitat_Models_used_in_the_Map_of_Biodiversity_Importance/13138676<br>GIS analysis of these models, combined with a map of protected areas (the USGS Protected Area Database version 2.0), showed the areas of the conterminous 48 US states with the highest numbers of overlapping unprotected, range restricted species.
