Wally Land Benthic Crawler Deployed 2009-09-20

The Crawler plus light was deployed on 2009-09-20 at Wally Land. Wally Land is a location within Barkley Canyon gas hydrate field, where hydrate dynamics are observed. This device is a Benthic Crawler. Benthic crawlers are subsea vehicles that crawl on the seafloor and carry out detailed investigations of processes influencing gas hydrates evolution at the seafloor. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.Crawler plus light型海底爬行器（Crawler plus light）于2009年9月20日部署于沃利滩（Wally Land）。沃利滩坐落于巴克利峡谷天然气水合物气田（Barkley Canyon gas hydrate field）内，该区域开展水合物动力学观测研究。本设备属于海底爬行器（Benthic Crawler），此类水下载具可在海底表面爬行，针对影响海底天然气水合物演化的各类过程开展精细化调查。本次部署采用固定式平台搭载该爬行器完成。此次部署获取的数据已完成归档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 2.0数字基础设施对外共享，所有数据均遵循既定规范完成质量保证，并生成了配套衍生数据产品。
