Clonal complex 398 emerging as community- and healthcare-associated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in the Czech Republic 2017-2024

Staphylococcus aureus Clonal Complex 398 (CC398) has gained global significance due to its association with both livestock and humans. Since 2017, an increasing number of human CC398 MRSA cases has been reported in the Czech Republic. This study aimed to characterize human-associated CC398 isolates collected in the Czech Republic between 2017 and 2024.
