资源简介:
Cholecystectomy is a common surgical procedure that is being increasingly performed worldwide. An increasing risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) after cholecystectomy has been reported, the specific mechanism remains largely elusive. Here, we show that gut microbiota and bile acid profiles suffered notable changes after cholecystectomy and the involvement of these altered gut microbiota and bile acids drove malignant progression of CRC. We revealed the underlying mechanism of cholecystectomy-induced colorectal tumorigenesis, which may provide a potential target for prevention of CRC.
