We performed a transcriptional profiling of P. aeruginosa cells with or without doxorubicin. The P. aeruginosa wspFpelApslBCD knockout mutant strain was chosen for the transcriptome analysis because prior work has indicated that some biofilm dispersal pathways can only be induced in bacteria with high c-di-GMP levels (Petrova & Sauer, 2012).
