We performed high throughput transcriptomic analysis of SH-SY5Y cells during neural differentiation following continuous exposure to lead (Pb). Overall design: We treated neuroblastoma cells, SH-SY5Y, with lead(Pb), at four doses (0µM, 0.16µM, 1.26µM, 10µM) beginning on Day 5 of neural differentiation, and continued exposure for the duration of the 18 day protocol. We conducted RNA-sequencing every three days beginning on Day 6, adapting the PlexWell plate-based RNA-sequencing method to analyze changes in gene expression resulting from Pb exposure.
