Python4Lib Community Survey (Spring 2026)

At a March 2026 Python4Lib meeting, the group expressed an interest in developing an easy way for members of the Python4Lib community to anonymously share information with each other about tool and package preferences in order to facilitate group discussions about current practices. A survey was developed to gather the data. No personally identifying information was collected as part of this process. Multiple choice responses to survey questions are included in CSV file. Data visualizations of response statistics are included in PDF file of slides that were discussed at Python4Lib meeting on 6/23/26. Summarized information about open ended survey responses regarding recommended packages and suggestions for questions in future surveys is also included in PDF file. This data was gathered for use by the Python4Lib group and is not intended for research use or to produce generalizable knowledge. The data and summary PDF is being published to ensure their continued availability to the Python4Lib community.
