A STUDY ON THE RELIABILITY ASSOCIATED WITH MAINTAINING AN ELECTRIC POWER MOTO GENERATOR OF ELECTRICITY THAT FEEDS AN OIL REFINERY IN THE STATE OF AMAZONAS. (Análise da confiabilidadede um motogerador de energia elétrica que abastece uma Refinaria de Petróleo do Estado do Amazonas (Brasil).

This paper presents a case study on the level of reliability provided by a power generator that supplies all electricity used in one refinery located in the state of Amazon as in Brazil. First, were analyzed its reliability, from data obtained in the field, as its not planned shutdown. These data were considered in the Weibull analysis and tables and graphs were constructed showing the level of reliability over time during the equipment operation. A few improvements in the system were implemented, and after this,a new study of there liability of the equipment was performed in way to prove the provided improvements.
