Stator copper loss of electric motors refers to the losses caused by current flowing through copper windings during motor operation, making copper windings the largest loss component inside the motor. It is usually calculated using the resistance under rated current and expressed as copper winding loss. As one of the important indicators for evaluating motor losses and efficiency, stator copper loss not only affects the heat generation of the motor, but also causes problems such as reduced motor efficiency and shortened service life. Therefore, reasonable design and selection should be carried out according to specific requirements and conditions during motor design and selection. National standards are adopted to determine the stator copper loss value of three-phase asynchronous motors under specific conditions, which provides reference and technical support for production enterprises to improve product quality, strengthen government supervision, and ensure consumer travel safety. Various parameters of the motor operating under rated conditions are detected, including winding temperature at the load point θt, initial (cold) winding resistance R1, winding temperature θ1 when measuring R1, stator current I1, and the stator copper loss Pcu1 is calculated as Pcu1=1.5I1²*R1*(235+θt)/(235+θ1). Based on the measurement methods and procedures for stator copper loss of three-phase asynchronous motor products, the algorithm determines the functional relationship between the measured variable (output variable) Pcu1 and other input variables θt, R1, θ1 and I1. The measurement result Pcu1 depends on these input variables, thus obtaining the final stator copper loss of the motor.
