Data and R codes for a global synthetic analysis of the role of species traits in inference in metacommunity ecology

This repository includes all of the R scripts and data files (records of vegetal and animal species abundance or presence/absence across multiple spatial locations, species ecological traits, environmental conditions of the sampling locations, and spatial coordinates of the sampling locations) required for a global synthetic analysis of the role of species traits in inference in metacommunity ecology presented in the paper "When do traits tell more than species about a metacommunity? A synthesis across ecosystems and scales" from Jeliazkov & Chase 2023 in The American Naturalist.
