Tidal flats as organic matter accumulation zones: depositional patterns and effects of different types of detritus

This repository contains the raw dataset and R analysis script used to generate the statistical results and figures presented in "Tidal flats as organic matter accumulation zones: depositional patterns and effects of different types of detritus". The dataset (Data.xlsx) includes measurements of buried and surface detritus, sediment organic matter and moisture content, sediment temperature, crab burrow density, and litter/tea bag decomposition rates from sampling and experiments conducted in tidal flats in Mar Chiquita Coastal Lagoon, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The R script (Analysis.R) contains the full analysis pipeline, including generalized linear mixed models (glmmTMB), model diagnostics (DHARMa), post-hoc Tukey comparisons (emmeans), and the code used to generate all figures (ggplot2).
