资源简介:

Description This dataset contains the non-video cohort from the NEUROSYNC study, a controlled human-building experiment investigating multimodal physiological and cognitive responses to auditory stimulation under varying chromatic ambient lighting conditions. Study Design & ParticipantsForty participants completed a single seated laboratory session in the NEXT.ROOM research chamber. The study employed a balanced design with: Conditions: Two nominal lighting conditions (Red vs. Blue). Stratification: 10 sessions per time-of-day stratum (totaling 4 strata). Protocol: A fixed-order sequence including pre-experiment survey, acclimation, eyes-open resting baseline, two task blocks with auditory stimulation, and post-task/final surveys. Task Block 1: Verbal-semantic task paired with 10 Hz auditory stimulation. Task Block 2: Visuospatial task paired with 40 Hz auditory stimulation. Included Data ModalitiesThis release provides source-level, pseudonymous data for the following modalities across 40 sessions: Temporal Alignment: Original multimodal timestamps and reconstructed protocol timing. Physiological Signals: Four-channel EEG (all source files included; see exclusions below), wrist accelerometry, blood-volume pulse (BVP), electrodermal activity (EDA), and peripheral temperature. Subjective Responses: Baseline, post-task, and final survey data. Identifiers: Source pseudonymous participant/session IDs retained to preserve the original multimodal alignment contract. Exclusions & Data Integrity Video Data: Participant video, video manifests, and camera-derived behavioral data have been intentionally removed to protect privacy. Health Screening: Row-level health-screening variables were excluded; sensitive screening data are documented only as cohort aggregates. Invalid Recording: The source modality inventory marks P01_red_t4 EEG as unavailable/invalid. This file is retained strictly for provenance and should not be treated as a valid recording. Demographics: Sparse age groups were combined to further anonymize the dataset. Critical Usage Limitations Fixed Task Order: Task content, stimulation frequency, response modality, and phase position are inseparable due to the fixed protocol order. The data do not support isolated frequency-causality claims. Research vs. Diagnostic: All physiological signals and subjective responses are research measurements intended for experimental analysis. They are not diagnostic variables or ground truth for emotion, attention, stress, fatigue, or cognitive state. Scientific ValueThis dataset enables: Protocol reconstruction and multimodal alignment verification. Modality-specific quality assessment and feature extraction. Reproducibility of NEUROSYNC analyses. Development of new study-specific hypotheses regarding human-building interaction and indoor environmental quality. DocumentationFull file definitions, cohort summaries, exclusion criteria, privacy transformations, and analytical boundaries are documented in README.md, DATA_DICTIONARY.md, and DATA_USE_AND_PRIVACY.md.
