The use of covalent and non-covalent strategies towards understanding the factors governing electron transfer processes in multichromophoric arrays
收藏资源简介:
At the onset of this project, the aims were to fabricate several novel D-B-A systems from porphyrins and NDI building blocks that have applicability in studying the factors that govern ET and EnT processes. Our intentions were to prepare these systems, either covalently or non-covalently, in few steps from readily accessible synthons. The bulk of research undertaken utilises the easy to prepare porphyrins H2-ATPP 21 and H2-TPP-OH 54 as well as a range of NDIs functionalised at the imide and/or core positions using a variety of established synthetic techniques, though many of them unique to the applications of porphyrin chemistry. It was envisaged that these constructs would eventually add significantly to the bulk of research reported in the literature pertaining to porphyrin-NDI multichromophoric systems.
