Gut microbiome of type 1 diabetes mellitus rats changed significantly

The incidence of type 1 diabetes mellitus is increasing year by year, gut microbiota is considered to be closely related to the occurrence and development of T1DM in recent years. In this study, we injected Sprague Dawley rats intraperitoneally with streptozotocin to establish T1DM rat model, collected fecal samples and extracted DNA of them, constructed 16S rRNA microbial gene clone library, and lastly performed high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
