Currambene and Moona Moona Creeks Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan
收藏资源简介:
__1. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND__\r\n\r\nThis Study has been prepared by WMAwater on behalf of the Shoalhaven City Council (Council).\r\nThe Study is composed of three phases:\r\n\r\n1. Revision of the 2006 Currambene Creek and Moona Moona Creek Flood Study\r\n(Reference 1);\r\n2. Preparation of the Currambene and Moona Moona Creek Floodplain Risk Management\r\nStudy; and\r\n3. Preparation of the Currambene and Moona Moona Creek Floodplain Risk Management\r\nPlan.\r\n\r\nThis document details all three phases of work. The FRMS&P follows on from the Flood Study\r\nrevision which defines the flood behaviour in Currambene and Moona Moona Creeks under\r\nexisting conditions to determine the nature and extent of the flood problem.\r\n\r\n__1.1. Objectives__\r\nThis project involves preparing a Floodplain Risk Management Study and Floodplain Risk\r\nManagement Plan (FRMS&P) for Currambene and Moona Moona Creeks. The main objective of\r\nthis FRMS&P is to identify potential floodplain risk, test amelioration strategies for the\r\nmanagement of risk and to put forward priorities and approximately costed recommendations in\r\nregards to flood risk mitigation in the Study Areas. The Currambene Creek Study Area is\r\npresented in Figure 1 and the Moona Moona Creek Study Area is presented in Figure 2.\r\nCouncil requires consideration of a range of management options to effectively manage existing,\r\nfuture and continuing flood risks in the region. The outcomes from the Flood Study revision,\r\nFloodplain Risk Management Study and Floodplain Risk Management Plan will also assist the\r\nSES in preparing a Local Flood Plan for the region.\r\nThe information and results obtained from the Flood Study revision (see Section 3.3), define\r\nexisting flood behaviour and provides a firm basis for the subsequent FRMS&P which constitutes\r\nPhases 3 & 4 of the overall work (see Sections 5 to 9).
