POETIC ARTS USED IN THE GHAZALS OF ALISHER NAVOIY

This article examines the artistic imagery and poetic devices widely used in Alisher Navoiy’s poetry through the analysis of his ghazals. The research highlights the functional characteristics of metaphor (isti'ora), simile (tashbeh), irony (kinoya), homonymy (tajnis/jinos), and other poetic arts, focusing on their role in expressing meaning and their distinctiveness in Navoiy's style. The results of the study reveal that Navoiy utilized poetic arts not merely as formal embellishments, but as essential tools to unveil profound philosophical and lyrical themes.
