Urban-Rural Boundary Dataset of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle
This dataset provides a detailed depiction of the actual urban-rural boundary delineation within the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. Derived from geographic big data (POI points) and land cover data (construction land), this dataset is generated through spatial analysis on the ArcGIS platform and simulation using kernel density estimation and the Densi-Graph threshold method. It reclassifies the traditional urban-rural dichotomy into four types of urban-rural boundaries: urban core, urban-rural fringe, market town, and rural area. Compared with the traditional two-level urban-rural division based on administrative divisions, this dataset can more accurately and finely describe the actual urban-rural spatial distribution within the counties of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, providing reliable spatial support for urban-rural sustainable development and urban-rural planning.
