资源简介:
This dataset contains information on sequenced species, species classification, and biogeographic regions of the family Magnoliaceae. The "gblocks_concatenation" file is the alignment of 48 newly sequenced plastomes and 75 previous published ones. Plastomes of Chieniodendron hainanense (Merr.) Tsiang & P. T. Li and Horsfieldia pandurifolia Hu were included as outgroups.Appendix 1 Species and sequences used to construct the molecular phylogeny.Appendix 2 Species classification, leaf habit, biogeographic regions and references. Magnoliaceae is a family in the magnoliid order Magnoliales and is well known for its large, attractive and fragrant flowers. The family comprises ca. 300 species with most of its diversity concentrated in the amphi-Pacific tropical evergreen forests. Previous studies based on only a few nuclear and chloroplast DNA loci have failed to fully resolve phylogenetic relationships due to limited genetic differentiation. In this study, we reconstructed a time-calibrated phylogeny using plastomes from 123 species, representing Liriodendron and all 15 sections of Magnolia, and investigated its colonization and diversification history.
