we create a novel route to solve the issue by improved ball milling methods which in-situ forms molecular-scale grinding aids between graphite layers. This method can produce a uniform, small-size (less than 1 μm) and thin-layer graphene at a low cost, and can ensure the internal structure of the graphene sheet less damaged. There are few oxygenic functional groups inside the graphene, so some basic properties of which are not damaged. In addition, taking the SG as an additive in lubricating oil can not only solve the current dispersion stability problem of graphene, but also reduce the friction coefficient by more than 27% and reduce wear by more than 38.8%.
