This dataset was developed by the School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Campinas, and focuses on the study of turbulent flow over submerged interacting barchan dunes. It consists of three sections corresponding to Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) experimental data for single and interacting dunes respectively, with a total of thousands of flow field vectors and image data. During its creation, fluid dynamics over the dune surfaces were captured using high-speed cameras and laser systems, employing PIV and PTV techniques. This dataset is primarily intended for researching the dynamic characteristics of natural dunes, predicting the behavior of dune fields, and assessing their impacts on human activities on Earth and other celestial bodies.
