Leading online health insurance products in China 2021, by type

In 2021, the most popular type of online health insurance in China was expense reimbursement medical insurance which accounted for 63 percent of insurance premiums. The second most popular type was insurance covering critical illnesses. Even though most citizens had basic health insurance, many chose to enhance their insurance coverage by purchasing additional insurance policies from private providers.
