Metagenomic profiling of endophytic microbiota in banana sucker from Nanning, China

Banana (Musa spp.) is a globally important crop whose health is influenced by endophytic bacteria living inside plant tissues. This project aims to characterize the taxonomic and functional diversity of endophytic bacterial communities residing in banana suckers (vegetative propagation shoots). High-throughput metagenomic sequencing will identify potential plant-beneficial microbes involved in growth promotion, pathogen resistance, or stress tolerance. The data will provide a foundation for microbiome-assisted strategies in sustainable banana cultivation
