The Rise of Asian Palaeontology: A Bibliometric and Semantic Analysis of Global and Regional Research Trends

This repository contains the datasets, analysis scripts, and supplementary materials associated with the manuscript “The Rise of Asian Palaeontology: A Bibliometric and Semantic Analysis of Global and Regional Research Trends”. The repository includes R scripts and custom linguistic filters (stopwords) used to analyse multi-decadal trends in Asian palaeontological research. By integrating Web of Science (WoS) bibliographic records with digitized abstract programmes from the Asian Palaeontological Congress (APC) and the International Palaeontological Congress (IPC), these tools characterize thematic evolution and examine the temporal alignment between conference themes and subsequent publication trends. The files are provided to support reproducibility of the analyses and facilitate further research on palaeontological research trends and scientific knowledge structures.
