A detailed visual comparison of a representative slice from these datasets is provided in Supplementary Data file S1.Data S2: Grain Size Distribution Derived from BSE Imaging Analysis (.csv, 912.94 KB)This file contains the processed Grain Size Distribution (GSD) data derived from the independent Backscattered Electron (BSE) imaging analysis. The table includes five columns:Size: The Equivalent Spherical Diameter (<i>ESD</i>) in millimeters.Wt: The volume percentage (weight) of particles within that specific size bin.Wt Passing: The cumulative volume percentage of particles finer than the given size.Wt Passing Complement: The cumulative volume percentage of particles coarser than the given size.Int_phi: The corresponding size expressed using the logarithmic Phi (<i>ϕ</i>) scale, where <i>ϕ</i>=−log₂​(<i>ESD</i>​).Data S3: Raw Particle Sizes from BSE Imaging Analysis (.csv, ~26.80 MB)This file contains the raw particle size data from which Data S2 was derived. It consists of a single column, Size, which lists the<i> ESD</i> in micron for each individually segmented particle. The file contains approximately 1.52 million entries, corresponding to the valid particles identified after filtering for noise (&lt;4 pixels) and incomplete particles that touched the image boundary.
