Dataset: Sediment carbon content of coastal Maine eelgrass beds

This data release represents a synthesis of sediment cores collected from eelgrass beds in Maine between 2012 and 2018 for two individual senior thesis projects conducted at Bates College. Collectively, these studies estimated carbon stocks from 4 sites along the coast of Maine by measuring sediment carbon content and dry bulk density. These data were used in a larger analysis of blue carbon in the northeast titled "Blue Carbon Reservoirs from Maine to Long Island" (Colarusso et al., 2023)
